Havana, Cuba

Travel Guidesstella santiniComment

Recently I vacationed in Havana, Cuba. Cuba was one of the best trips I've ever been on. I was subjected to their culture, their homes, and the beautiful environment Cubans get to breath in everyday. I'm going to show you some of my favorite stops along this fabulous journey.

Where to Sleep:

  • Saratoga Hotel

This hotel is just down right stunning. It's not only in a perfect location but the view from their pool rooftop is jaw-dropping. Every afternoon, my family and I would lay by the pool taking in the Havana air on their rooftop deck. This hotel is everything! P.S. Beyonce and Jay-Z stayed here - so it's a must.

  • Rent an apartment

My family and I rented an apartment, and it was so comfortable and relaxing. We had breakfast in bed every morning, chilled out in our own little home. Though we would have rather stayed in a location near Old Havana. We still enjoyed this cozy-chic apartment.

Where to Eat and Drink:

  • El Del Frente

Super trendy rooftop and restaurant area. Food was AMAZING! We went back twice because we loved it so much. Their drinks are DELICIOUS! 10/10 recommend.

The ambiance in the restaurant is so fun and flirty.

  • LaGuardia Restaurant

The minute I stepped into this restaurant, my eyes just exploded. This restaurant is absolutely stunning. The elegant environment, delicious food, and gorgeous view is all perfection. If you want to have a fabulous farewell dinner, go here.

  • El Chanchullero Restaurant

Delicious food, cultural view, great service and relaxing and warm environment. This restaurant was another great one, went here twice - 10/10!

What to do:

Walk around Old Havana

Old Havana is the place to be at all times. The culture, life, and people are so incredible. Walk around the plazas and the side streets. EVERYTHING is amazing.

 The Old Havana Book Fair

  • Hemingway Museum

I didn't know anything about Hemingway or Cuban history and after visiting and roaming around this museum, I learned so much. It was interesting and enjoyable. If you are there with family and/or kids, please go!

That concludes my Havana, Cuba travel guide! I hope you enjoyed and have an equally incredible and special just as I had!
